GrowthSpaces® serves three primary client types — the situations where our operating experience and the GrowthSpaces® methodology create the most measurable value.
We work with owner-operated and founder-led businesses preparing for a defining transition — a liquidity event, a strategic pivot, a generational handoff, or simply a phase of growth that will require a different operating posture than what got the company to today.
Founders rarely lack ambition; what they often lack is independent operating perspective from people who have run companies through the same transition. That is the gap GrowthSpaces® is built to close.
We work with lower middle-market PE firms, family offices, and corporate venture units whose portfolio companies need operating expertise that goes beyond financial governance. We integrate with the deal team — at thesis, at diligence, post-close, or at exit prep — and serve as an extension of the operating partner function.
Our team has lived inside PE-backed companies. We know the rhythm of board meetings, the pressure of value-creation timelines, and the difference between a 100-day plan that works and one that looks good on paper.
European technology and energy companies routinely identify the US as their next major growth market — and they are usually right about the opportunity. What is far less obvious is the time, capital, and local operating presence required to convert opportunity into market position.
We have direct experience building US operations for international companies. We can serve as the local strategic guide, the operating partner during the build-out, or the bridge to the right partnerships, distribution, and management talent.
Being honest about fit is part of how we operate. There are situations where GrowthSpaces® is not the right firm, and we will tell you that directly during the first conversation.
We are not a generalist strategy consultancy, we are not a turnaround firm of last resort, and we are not the right partner for engagements that need a 30-person team running parallel workstreams. Our value comes from focused, senior-led engagements in sectors where our operators have done the work before.
We do not publish a client list, and we do not name engagements without explicit permission. The vast majority of GrowthSpaces® work involves sensitive strategic decisions — pre-transaction positioning, leadership transitions, market-entry planning — where confidentiality is not a marketing posture but a working requirement.
